Dr Andrew Norman

I was born in Newbury, Berkshire, UK in 1943, and educated at Thornhill High School, Gwelo, Southern Rhodesia and at St Edmund Hall, Oxford. In 1970 I qualified in medicine and worked as a family doctor in the UK until 1983 when I sustained a back injury. I then decided to use my diagnostic skills in a different way and become a writer. I am married to Rachel.

Synopsis:

Drawing on the memories of Helen Taylor, one-time seamstress at Tyneham House, Andrew Norman presents a vivid portrait of this now vanished community. He invites the reader to make a journey back in time with Helen Taylor, who brings the village back to life and its people, from parlour-maid to parson, and from school teacher to squire. 'FOR ME, WITH THE TURNING OF THESE PAGES, TYNEHAM LIVES ON!' Arthur HJ Grant, former Tyneham resident. (Also available in paperback, price £7.99)
